In less than a week since Mike moved to Wisteria Lane he already had women fighting over him. Mike Delfino posed as the friendly neighborhood plumber but was secretly trying to find out where his ex-girlfriend (Deirdre Taylor) had gone. She went missing years before. Deirdre's remains were discovered in the toy chest that had been burried under the Young family pool. Susan discovered that Mike had been in prison for manslaughter and drug dealing. Devastated, Susan ended their relationship and he wrote her a letter, explaining why he was convicted of those crimes. Susan discovered that Mike and Deirdre were drug addicts. Mike kicked the habit but Deirdre didn't and an undercover policeman forced her to sleep with him in exchange for his silence about her drug habit. Mike found out and tried to stop it. He caught them together and they had a fight, ending with them going over a balcony. Mike survived but the cop didn't. Susan and Mike reconciled after she found out it was self-defense. Mike discovered that Paul Young was involved in Deirdre's murder. He took Paul hostage and was going to shoot him but Paul told him that he and Mary Alice Young (his late wife) lived in Salt Lake City years before. Mary Alice worked at a rehab centre and met Deirdre there. One night, needing drugs, Deirdre tried to sell her and Paul her watch - claiming the baby needed food but Mary Alice offered to buy food but refused to give her cash. Deirdre knew Mary Alice couldn't have kids and offered them her baby son instead. Mary Alice agreed and they moved to Fairview with their son, Zach. Three years later, Deirdre found them and demanded her baby back; they refused. Deirdre went towards the stairs, intending to take Zach but Mary Alice stabbed her - she had been holding a knife during the argument. Mike realized later on in the season that he was Zach's biological father.

Bree is the red-headed perfectionist. She is the model woman. Bree is known for her homemaking skills on the level of Martha Stewart. She is also known for making gourmet meals and breakfast treats, including her pineapple bran muffins. Any time a new neighbor moves in she will bring them a basket full of muffins but request that the basket be returned. She also is well-versed in regards to firearm training: she owns four guns and is a card-carrying member of the National Rifle Association. She has two children, Andrew and Danielle. She was appalled to find out that in a past season her son was a homosexual and Danielle has a boy named Benjamin.

Gabrielle Solis

Gaby is portrayed as vain, shallow, and materialistic, but underneath she is thoughtful and caring, and loves her friends on Wisteria Lane dearly and will always help in a crisis. She tends to be reckless and acts first then thinks later, often thinking of herself before others, but regretting it later and making amends. She is very attractive and has the ability to wrap men around her little finger. Gabrielle is very demanding and she always gets her way. In Season 5 which was just released on DVD shows in the last episode that Carlos's niece, Ana is coming to live with them. Gaby, however disapproves of this.

Lynette Scavo

Lynette Scavo is a hard worker and mother. Lynette is married to Tom Scavo and they have four beautiful children together, only that is about to change as Lynette finds out she is expecting twins. Lynette has been having a rough time with this pregnancy, she already has four children and now with 2 more on the way she already doesn't have enough time in the day how is she suppose to find more. She has yet to inform her boss, Carlos Solis of her news in doubt that he would change his mind about her 50% salary bump.

Susan is played by Terri Hatcher. She is the hot brunette. She is ditsy, clumsy and is a magnet for bad luck. Susan is a mother of MJ, who she had with her current husband now, Mike Delfino and she has a daughter from a previous marriage with Karl, Julie Mayer. Susan is a children's book illustrator. She struggles in her life to find a man she can finally be happy with. She is now on her second marriage with the love of her life, Mike. I can relate to Susan in some aspects because I am a klutz as well. I seem to drawl attention for bad luck too.

Mary Alice Young

Mary Alice Young is played by the actress Brenda Strong. She is the narrator of Desperate Housewives. She was formerly Angela Forrest and had been blackmailed for murdering the mother of the child that she and her husband - Paul - had adopted,or stolen, Dana. They changed his name to Zach so there weren't any suspicions. Mary Alice took her own life. This was least expected from her because their were only bits and pieces of her story that was told.

Desperate Housewives is a drama-comedy television show that was created by Marc Cherry in 2004.

There wouldn't be a Wisteria Lane without drama and there wouldn't be drama without the housewives that live on Wisteria Lane. Gabrielle Solis, Fashion Diva; Lynette Scavo, the model mother, Bree Van De Kamp, the perfect woman; Susan Mayer, the sexy klutz and then there is Edie Britt, Wisteria Lane's home wrecker.
