Karl was married to Susan Delfino years ago when they had their daughter, Julie Mayer.Karl ruined love for Susan. He cheated on her multiple times and eventually left Susan for his secretary Brandi . Karl is now seeing a good friend of Susan. Bree Hodge is having an affair with Karl. The two are very intimate, Susan however has no idea and neither does Orson, Bree's current husband. Recently, Karl has asked Bree to marry him. Bree then states," If you can get me a divorce first, then we will talk about marriage."

Katherine Mayfair was one of the very first women to live on Wisteria Lane. Although, that was several years ago she packed everything up in the middle of the night and moved as fast as she could. There was something mischievous about that and when Susan Mayer saw the moving truck pull in one day she was determined to find out why Katherine left in such a hurry and now she was back. Katherine had kept a long, dark, secret that haunted her every night. When Katherine had lived on Wisteria Lane the first time she had a daughter, Dillon. Dillon, who was 3, climbed up on top of a piece of furniture one night to get her doll that was placed on top of it. The piece of furniture that it was on top of fell over on top of little Dillon and killed her. Katherine couldn't bare the thought of her ex-husband Wayne finding out because she knew he would blame her for it. So Katherine went to an Orphanage and adopted a little girl that looked just like Dillon. That was the only way no one ever found out. Eventually Katherine was forced to tell what had happened when Dillon became an adult and started asking questions about her father.

Julie is the daughter of Susan Delfino and Karl Mayer. Julie is, ironically, far more mature than either her accident-prone mother or her cheating father. Julie gets accepted to Princeton for Medical School. Julie returns home from college and helps to plan Susan and Mike's wedding as the maid of honor. A tragedy occurs with Julie as an unknown person strangles her as she walks out of her house. While Susan is waiting in the hospital for Julie to wake up she discovers that Julie has been seeing a married man, she dropped out of College and has been waitressing for the past 6 months and she could possibly be pregnant. Susan is appalled that Julie hadn't told her any of this and she had to hear it from other people on the street.

He proposed to Gaby on their third date. Carlos wanted to have a family but Gaby refused. Carlos replaced her birth control pills with sugar pills so now Gabrielle and Carlos have two daughters together, Juanita Solie abd Celia Solis.

Orson went through his phase of stealing all the neighbors trinckets and other items. He served time in jail for hitting Mike with his car and trying to kill him. Orson will find out that Bree is having an affair with Susan Mayer's ex-husband, Karl.
